Refund policy

Effective Date: 15 January 2025


Speediance South Africa is committed to delivering premium fitness equipment and an exceptional customer experience. This Returns & Refunds Policy has been drafted in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Act 68 of 2008.



1. Cooling-Off Period (CPA Section 44)


If you purchase a Speediance product online or via direct marketing, you have the right to cancel your order within 5 business days after delivery without providing a reason.


To qualify:

The product must be unused

It must be in its original packaging

It must be in resalable condition


You must notify us in writing at:

support@speediance.co.za


Return shipping and logistics costs will be deducted from your refund unless the product is faulty or incorrect.



2. Returns for Defective or Damaged Products (CPA Sections 55 & 56)


If your Speediance product is:

Defective

Not working as intended

Damaged on arrival

Not as described


You are entitled to return it within 6 months of delivery and choose one of the following:

A full refund

A replacement

A repair


Speediance South Africa will cover all collection and shipping costs for defective or incorrect products.



3. Incorrect Orders


If you receive a product different from what you ordered (e.g. wrong model or configuration), notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange collection and replacement at no cost to you.



4. Non-Returnable Items


Due to the nature of our products, the following cannot be returned unless defective:

Products that have been installed

Products that have been used

Products that have been assembled or configured

Products not in original condition


Speediance systems are considered high-value precision equipment, and once installed, they cannot be resold as new.



5. Installation & Setup Services


If installation has already taken place, the installation service itself is non-refundable, even if the product is later returned.



6. Refund Processing


Once a return is approved, and the product is inspected:

Refunds are processed within 10 business days

Funds will be returned to the original payment method


Payments are processed securely through Speediance South Africa’s authorised payment partners.



7. Warranty Claims


Speediance products come with a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

This covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes:

Normal wear and tear

Accidental damage

Improper use

Unauthorised modifications

9. Jurisdiction


This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
